Magazine is an exciting new development for Joomla!. It is a Joomla! online publishing system able to handle a vast range of site types, from a blog, to a lifestyle site, through to a traditional online magazine or periodical.

The example publication, Best of the Bookshelf, demonstrates a traditional format using Issues, Sections and Articles.  Other formats are possible using or not using Issues and Sections and is best descirbed visual in our Magazine Data Relationships document (80 kb PDF).

The articles Ice Station, Area 7, Scarecrow and Hell Island demonstrate a related set of articles.

The Administrator is accessible using your JXtended user account login.  Your access is limited to Manager but this will be enough to allow you explore all of the backend features of Magazine.  If you do not have a JXtended user account, register here.

This demo site demonstrates the basic capabilities of Magazine using, where possible, only the default layouts.  More creativity can be applied to site with additional customization as shown in the following sites:

Magazine is release under the GNU General Public License.  The purchase price entitles you to downloads, updates and forum support for 12 months with an option to renew these on a yearly basis for a nominal fee.
